Integration

Facebook

Facebook is a Grow channel for your Page. Connecting lets the agent draft Page posts and publish the ones you approve.

Not connectable yet. Facebook cannot be connected yet. The integration is built and the row switches on once our Meta app is live.

What it does

  • Lists the Pages you administer, so you choose which one to post to.
  • Keeps only the Pages your role lets you post to, so a publish cannot fail on permissions.
  • Publishes a post you approved to the Page you chose.
  • Reads results back for the posts it published.
  • Publishes only a post you approved. The agent never publishes on its own.

Connecting

Open Workspace settings, then Connections, and choose Facebook. Facebook asks which Pages to grant. Facebook grants the four permissions together or none of them, so publishing is included in that one approval.

What each permission is for

  • pages_show_list List the Pages you administer, so you choose which one to post to.
  • pages_read_engagement Read the Page and its posts. Facebook requires it alongside publishing.
  • pages_manage_posts Publish the post you approved to the Page you chose.
  • read_insights Read results for the posts Selfbase published.

We do not ask for messaging, ads, or your friends. Nothing is ever added to your content: no watermark, no mention of Selfbase, no injected link.

How your credentials are held

Your credential is encrypted with a key that belongs to your workspace and stored as ciphertext. It is decrypted only at the moment it is used, and never inside a sandbox where code runs. We never log it.

Removing it

Disconnect under Workspace settings, then Connections, and we deauthorize Selfbase at Facebook, which invalidates every token it issued us and the Page tokens derived from it. You can also remove Selfbase at facebook.com/settings?tab=applications.

To have everything Selfbase holds about you deleted, see data deletion.
