Integration

OpenAI is a model key rather than a Connection. You paste your own key, OpenAI bills you directly at their rates, and Selfbase never marks that up.

What it does

• Runs the agent on GPT models across Threads, Build, and Grow.
• Reads which models your key can reach, so the picker shows what you have.
• Checks the key once when you paste it, so a bad key surfaces then rather than mid-Run.

Connecting

Open You, then Model keys, and paste a key from platform.openai.com/api-keys. A single Workspace can override it under Workspace settings, then Model keys.

How your credentials are held

Your key is encrypted with a key held in AWS KMS and is only ever shown back to you masked. It is decrypted at the moment a Run calls OpenAI, and the call goes to OpenAI directly.

Removing it

Delete the key in You, then Model keys. Revoke it at platform.openai.com/api-keys if you want it dead everywhere.
